The Clinton Middle School boys’ track team lost a close meet to Whitmore Lake by a score of 65-72. The Redskins swept the shot put with Jack Voll placing first with 36′ 1 1/2″ while Brayden Randolph was second at 34′ and Luke Knight was third at 32′ 7 1/2″. Brennen Schnaidt was second in the long jump at 13′ 6″. In the high jump, Ridge Ahrens was second at 4′ 6″ and Jacob Huddleston was third at 4′ 6″, also. The pole vault was swept by Clinton with Kent McCombs clearing 7′ 6″, George Ames at 7′ and AJ Baxter at 6′. Nate Chavez was second in the 3200m run at a season best time of 11:35 and Gabe Nelson was third at 13:27. Gavin Scott placed second in 55m hurdles in 10.6 seconds. Placing second and third in the 800m run was Fabian Ramirez at 2:42 and Ryan Doty at 2:48.Samuel Hoffman placed third in the 1600m run at 7:05 and Jack Voll placed first in the 100m dash. AJ Baxter placed second in the 400m dash in 1:06 and Randolph was third at 1:08. Davey Campbell finished second in the 100m dash and Gavin Scott was third. Schnaidt and Huddleston again contributed points for the team by placing second and third, respectively, in the 200m dash. Clinton finished the night was a victory in the 400m relay (Baxter, Randolph, Campbell and Voll) in 54.34 seconds.
