Game Recap

The Redskins were on fire tonight as they took down the Blissfield Royals 4-0. Just eight minutes into the game, Kylee Doty found Taylor Tschirhart on a through ball after carrying the ball up the field from the back. Tschirhart was able to finish to put the Redskins up. It appears that’s all they needed to get into a rhythm and really move the ball around. Fifteen minutes later, Maria Kovach found the back of the net after Alexia’s Rolland’s throw bounced off of a Royals’ player to Kovach’s foot. Clinton continued to possess for the remainder of the half.

Second half continued much like the first for the Redskins. They came out with a lot of intensity and controlled play just as they did in the first half. The ball movement was strong and there were many opportunities that came up just short. With 15 minutes left to play in the game, Madison Baughey found Taylor Tschirhart on a through ball to put her in a breakaway situation. Tschirhart capitalized on the opportunity to put the Redskins up 3-0. They did not let their feet off the gas pedal for the remainder of the game. Maria Kovach was able to score again with ten minutes to play after Tschirhart found her on the left side of the eighteen yard box. Kovach placed a beautiful ball past the Royals’ goalkeeper to seal the deal for the evening.

Clinton returns to play on Wednesday against league and cross town rival, Manchester at Manchester. Kickoff is at 5:30 and the girls would love to see their fans there to support them!
