The Clinton Middle School boys team won its first track meet of the season against Britton-Deerfield by a score of 91-42. Placing first for Clinton in shot put was Jack Voll with a distance of 35′ 8 1/2″. Luke Knight placed second at 33′ 3 3/4″ and Brayden Randolph was third at 31′ 9″. Clinton swept the long jump with Brennen Schnaidt placing first at 14′ 7″ and Anthony Marino placed 2nd at 14′ 5 1/2″ and Landis Gilman was third at 14′. Jacob Huddleston won the high jump with a height of 4′ 6″ and Ridge Ahrens was second at 4′ 2″. Winning the 3200m run was Nate Chavez with a time of 12:13 and Gabe Nelson was second at 13:32. Again, Clinton recorded a sweep in the 55m hurdles lead by Gavin Scott at 10.68, Weston Fortney at 11.2 and Carter Keith at 11.4 seconds, respectively. In the 800m run, Fabian Ramirez and Ryan Doty came in first and second with times of 2:48 and 2:51. Nick Oliver finished third in the 1600m run with a time of 6:34. Voll finished second in the 100m dash at 12.9 and Kent McCombs was third in 13.5. McCombs also won the pole vault with a height of 7′. In the 400m dash, Randolph finished 2nd in 1:08 and Knight was third in 1:09. Davey Campbell placed 3rd in the 70m dash in 9.6 seconds. Ramirez, Keith and Bryson VanSickle swept the 200m hurdles with times of 32.5, 37.9 and 40.8 seconds. Huddleston placed again in the 200m dash at 28.2. The 1600m relay team of Brayden Randolph, Luke Knight, Nate Chavez and Fabian Ramirez won with a time of 4:44 and the 400m team of Davey Campbell, Brennen Schnaidt, Jack Voll and Spencer Konz finished the night with a victory in 56.2 seconds. The team competes this week at home on Wednesday against Whiteford and Friday at the East Jackson Invitational.
