Game Recap

On SENIOR NIGHT at Clinton the Whiteford Bobcats invaded the Redskins home, but left with a loss by the score of 70-51. “Well, folks if ever there was a “Tale of Two Halves” this game was it. Whiteford came out and dictated the tempo and was pretty much able to do what they wanted to do the entire first half. We looked lost out there with all of our turnovers and missed shots, So, Coach Ramos had to get a little feisty at halftime. I just told them if we lose, we had better lose with “effort” , but they took it a step further and exploded offensively, because they played OUTSTANDING defense in the second half. That is what I’m most proud about, the win is great, but their effort for one another to come out down 16 pts at the half and only be down 3 heading into the 4th quarter. That was the goal and then some. Cut the lead in half and then win in it in the 4th.” stated Coach Ramos. “We still have a lot to play for in our last 3 games, against some real quality opponents, but we just need defend and finish and we should be ok. So proud of the team tonight and our 4 SENIORS, Nikole Hartung, Alexis Bruecker, Makayla Thompson and Alexia Rolland. Thanks to the students, family and friends who came out to support the team and our seniors. It was truly appreciated!!” commented Coach Ramos. The win pushes our over all record to 8-9 and 7-6 in the TCC. We are on the road next Tuesday at Blissfield versus the LCAA Champion Royals.
