Game Recap

The Clinton varsity football team lost to TCC champion Whiteford by the score of 38-6. The Redskins finish the season 6-3 overall and 4-3 in the TCC. Steve laurell led the offense with 106 yards rushing on 13 carries. Brandon Studnicka added 46 yards rushing and scored on a 6 yard run while Clay Langer caught a 20 yard touchdown reception from Quarterback Clark Nelson to round out the scoring. Josh Brown had 10 tackles and an interception to lead the defense. Cordell Hernandez added 9 tackles, Langer 8, Laurell 6 with a forced fumble and Robbie Campbell and Shaun Phifer each had fumble recoveries. Offensive player of the game was Steve Laurell while defensive honors went to Liam Tapp. Special teams player was Danny Tomalak and Alex McIntosh was named red army player. Clinton will now enter the MHSAA State play-offs with an opponent to be determined.
