Game Recap

The CMS 8th Grade Football Team wrapped up their season with a 28-6 victory over the Bobacts of Ottowa-Lake Whiteford.

Leading the charge for the defense were Brayden Randolph and Jack Voll who each
recorded 8 tackles. Landis Gillman 6 tackles, Brenden Keith 5 tackles, Tyler Bowles, Luke Knight and AJ Baxter 4 tackles. Will Felts, Ryan Phillips and Tommy Burt 2 tackles while Spencer Konz, Ridge Ahrens, David Campbell, Makai Cruz and Kyler Haft each recorded a tackle.

On the offensive side of the ball Jack Voll led the way with 7 carries for 122 yards including touchdown runs of 40 and 30 yards. Makai Cruz 8 carries for 55 yards and a 2 point conversion. AJ Baxter 3 carries for 51 yards including a 25 yard touchdown run. Brayden Randolph 3 carries for 35 yards including a 15 yard touchdown run. David Campbell 3 carries for 19 yards including a 2 point conversion. Spencer Konz 1 carry good for 25 Yards and Landis Gillman 1 carry for 2 yards.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: In 6 games and a scrimmage the defense only allowed 20 points (2.85 points per game average). The defense recorded 5 shutouts and in 2 games did not allow a first down. The offense scored 217 points ( 31 points per game average). 11 players carried the ball for the offense and 9 of the 11 players scored for the team.

In their Middle School careers the team did not lose a game posting a perfect 12-0 record.
