The Clinton Redskin track program was well represented at the Lenawee County Track and Field Championships held at Onsted High School on Tuesday May 31 and the following performances were turned in. Placing first for the Redskins were Noah Poore in the long jump with a jump of 20’4″ and Huntter Trubiano winning the 300m hurdles with a time of 40.84. The 400m relay (44.24) and 800m relay (1:31.6) teams both finished second led by Trubiano, Poore, Kenny DeShano and Mathew Sexton. Lucas Crumb placed third in the 110 hurdles (16.2) and 300m hurdles (43.6). DeShano was third in the shot put (45-1) while Riley McLaughlin placed 4th (43.2). Joe Spence finished 6th in the discus (124-8). Sexton, Poore, DeShano, Trubiano, McLaughlin, Spence and Crumb will compete in the MHSAA State meet on Saturday June 4th at Comstock Park High School in Grand Rapids. The team will be honored on Monday June 6th in the high school auditorium at 6pm with the post season awards ceremony.
