The Clinton Redskin varsity track team defeated Sand Creek on Tuesday May 10 by the score of 73-64. The win improves the boy’s record to 5-2 on the season. Taking first for the Redskins were Mathew Sexton in the 100m (11.2) and 200m (22.8) and high jump (5-6), Blake Rogers in the 400m (55.2), Lucas Crumb in the 110 hurdles (15.7) and 300m hurdles (43.9), Kenny DeShano in the shot put (43-3) and Noah Poore in the long jump (20-4). The 800m relay team of Poore, DeShano, Huntter Trubiano and Sexton placed first (1:35.7) as did the 400m relay team of Trubiano, DeShano, Trevor Underwood and Poore (45.6). Seconds went to Joe Spence- discus/shot put, Trubiano -110/ 300 hurdles, Zachary Matthews-3200m and Gene Dudek-1600m. Thirds respectively went to Riley McLaughlin- shot put/ discus, Matthews-1600m and Poore in the 100m. The team competes at the Manchester Metrics on Friday May 13.
