Meet Recap

The Clinton Redskin boys varsity track team competed at the Onsted Booster Invitation on Friday May 6 and came away with an impressive third place finish among 14 teams competing. Mathew Sexton had a banner day winning the 100m (11.05), 200m (23.0) and anchored a first place performance in the 400m relay setting a new meet record with a time of 44.23. Huntter Trubiano, Kenny DeShano and Noah Poore rounded out the 400m relay team. Noah Poore won the long jump against a strong field jumping 20’2″ for gold medal status, Lucas Crumb was impressive in the 110 hurdles placing second with a personal best time of 15.7 while Huntter Trubiano placed fourth with a time of 16.2. The 800m relay team consisting of Trubiano, Poore, DeShano and Sexton placed second with a seasons best time of 1:32.7 while Trubiano (43.6) and Crumb (43.8) placed thrid and fourth respectively in the 300 hurldes. The 1600m relay team of Gene Dudek, Brad Gilbert, Blake Rogers and DeShano placed fourth with a season’s best time of 3:38). The team returns to action with a home meet on Tuesday may 10 against league power sand Creek beginning at 4:30pm
