Game Recap

The Redskins earned a win on the road tonight as they played Stockbridge to a 6-0 shutout. Sarah Sclafani is credited with the shutout after coming up with some great saves throughout the game. It took the girls a little while to get going but once they started moving the ball 30 minutes in, Alexis Bailey was able to feed Alexia Rolland to start the scoring off. Three minutes later, Rolland extended the lead after Taylor Tschirhart played her in behind the defense.

Ten minutes into the second half, Rolland returned the favor to Tschirhart in a very similar play. Just a minute and a half after her first goal, Tschirhart again received the ball through the back line from Madison Baughey to finish. Six minutes after that, the Redskins were given a corner kick. Madison Baughey serves the ball in and freshman Emma Hampel was able to get a volley off toward goal. Although it hit a Stockbridge player, Hampel was there to poke it by the keeper. With only a minute and a half to play, Kylee Doty received the ball ok the right sideline. She made a brilliant run with the ball toward goal to draw a defender in. Alexis Seiler was waiting on the six yard line to finish. Doty played a perfect ball and Seiler was able to finish for the first goal of her career.

Clinton returns to play on a Monday at Blissfield for their last league game. Kickoff is at 5:30.
