Game Recap

The 8th grade girls’ volleyball team beat Whiteford on Monday, October 10 with scores of 25-15, 14-25 and 25-22. Bri Underwood was th leading scorer on the night with 9 points. Karlee Szczesniak contributed 7 points, Hallie Kittle had 5 points, Laylah Ammons had 4 points, Ryley Baugh and Jaecy Jones both had 3 points, Jena Hawkins had 2 points, and Chloe Houghton and Sami Wolfe both contributed 1 point. “The girls have done a nice job on improving their serve percentage throughout the season. We continue to work on communication and being aggressive at the net”, said Coach Gilson. Bri Underwood, Chloe Houghton, and Arianna Maylone had strong back row performances. Hallie Kittle and Emily Kirk were solid at the net. Karlee Szczesniak led the offense with numerous assists and tip kills. The Skins are 4-2 in the TCC and 13-6 overall. They travel to Britton/Deerfield on Wednesday, October 12 and play in the Sand Creek Middle School Tournament on Saturday, October 15.
