Game Recap

The 8th grade volleyball team beat the Jonesville Comets at home on Wednesday, October 5th with scores of 25-8, 25-12, and 25-10. The girls had exceptional serving. Hallie Kittle was the lead scorer with 9 points. Other scorers were Karlee Szczesniak, Bri Underwood, and Laylah Ammons all with 7 points. Emily Gilroy added 6 points. Jaecy Jones, Ryley Baugh, and Emily Rothman all had 5 points. Payton Wyman added 1 point. “The girls showed improvement in ball control and communication on the court. We must continue to work on having three hits and aggressively attacking the ball on offense.” said Coach Gilson. Emily Kirk, Lena Korte, Hallie Kittle, Emily Gilroy, Payton Wyman, and Arianna Maylone all had attacks at the net. Bri Underwood, Jaecy Jones, Ryley Baugh, and Laylah Ammons had solid performances in the back row. Karlee Szczesniak, Emily Rothman, and Laylah Ammons led the team in assists. The Redskins play Whiteford at home on Monday, October 10 and travel to Britton/Deerfield on Wednesday, October 12.
