Game Recap

The CMS 8th Grade Football Team traveled to Summerfield to take on the Bulldogs. In a showdown between two undefeated teams the Redskins emerged victorious 40-14.

For the third straight week the defense controlled the game from the opening whistle. On the night the Redskins recorded 10 quarterback sacks, blocked a punt and recovered a fumble. Leading the charge was Brayden Randolph with 9 tackles and 2 sacks. Jack Voll tallied 8 tackles, Brenden Kieth 6 tackles, 3 sacks and a blocked a punt. AJ Baxter 4 tackles and 2 sacks. Tommy Burt had 4 tackles. Tyler Bowles 3 tackles and a sack. David Campbell 3 tackles and a fumble recovery. Will Felts, Makai Cruz and Spencer Konz, each recorded 2 tackles. Landis Gillman had 2 tackles and a sack. Luke Knight recorded 1 tackle and 1 sack.

On the offensive side of the ball the team rushed for 315 yards on 34 attempts. Brayden Randolph had 7 carries for 104 yards including 3 touchdown runs and a 2 point conversion. Jack Voll had 14 carries good for 105 yards and a touchdown. He also converted 2 extra point runs and a 2 point conversion pass. AJ Baxter had 6 carries good for 66 yards and a 2 point conversion catch. Tommy Burt had 5 carries for 36 yards. David Campbell had 2 carries good for 4 yards and a touchdown Campbell also converted a 2 point conversion run.

The team will defend their home field on October 12th when they take on the Patriots of Britton Deerfield at 6:00 P.M.
